The Sound of Hope: A New Bell for St. Augustine Parish

PK Holdings, on behalf of our Chairman, Sir Paul Louie Tugade and his family—his wife Kaye, and their children Paolo, Annika, and Kate, President Lourdes Grace Mapalad and CFO Rhoda Delos Angeles proudly donated a beautiful bell from the Netherlands to St. Augustine Parish in Tanauan City. Dutch bells are renowned for their historical significance and craftsmanship, particularly within carillons that create melodious music and harmony.

Our Chairman holds a special connection to this church, having frequently visited to pray for safety before his son Paolo’s baseball games in Batangas. During these visits, he had the opportunity to meet Fr. Rusel, who was introduced to him by Sir Raymond Lacdao.

The parish not only offers spiritual guidance but also serves as a safe haven for the community, providing essential shelter and protection during emergencies, particularly in the face of natural threats like the nearby Taal Volcano. As the parish is being built and faith is being nurtured, the bell will contribute to its mission, symbolizing the community’s strength and serving as a beacon of hope.

PK Holdings deeply values malasakit and is wholeheartedly committed to giving back to the community and expressing our gratitude to the Lord for the blessings we have received. May each ring of St. Augustine’s bell provide a sense of comfort and happiness, conveying a message of unity and courage, and reminding everyone that even in the face of adversity, there is always hope.💜
