Adorned with a majestic crest of feathers on its head, The Philippine Eagle commands a regal and imposing presence — making it one of the largest and most powerful eagles globally. However, its magnificence is overshadowed by the fact that it is listed as critically endangered due to the threats of habitat loss, deforestation, and illegal hunting.
In response to the urgent need for protection, PK Holdings has formed a sustainable partnership with the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) by funding the construction of the largest breeding cage for the conservation center. In addition to this, we have “adopted” a rescued eagle in Bacuag, Surigao del Norte by taking care of its expenses in food, shelter, keeper care, and veterinarian care.
Additionally, with a heart overflowing with gratitude, PK Holdings’ chairman Paul Louie Tugade has bestowed upon the rescued eagle the name “Pagpapala.” This name serves as a reminder of our Chairman’s unwavering appreciation for the countless blessings life has offered him. Truly, the greatest gift one can bestow upon the world is the act of giving back.
This act of Malasakit, rooted in deep compassion for the environment serves as a reminder of our collective responsibility to protect and cherish Earth’s precious natural resources.
